(FOX 11) - There's more than one mystery surrounding the murder of Trevon Lark.
Of course his killer's identity is of paramount importance, but detectives don't know where he was killed and they don't know why anyone would want to end Trevon's life.
Shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015, the 33-year-old's body was left on the sidewalk at Broadway and 84th Street in South Los Angeles.
LAPD dash cam video shows people who apparently knew Trevon, trying to revive him using CPR but he was too far gone.
Investigators believe that just before Trevon was shot, he had been in a car with people he knew. Moments later, he was shot by someone in another car, a black Mercedes Benz C Class with a partial plate of 6VX.
Investigators believe that his friends left Trevon at 84th and Broadway because there was a gathering nearby where people who knew Trevon would have been able to help him.
Trevon leaves behind his mother, siblings and a 6-year-old daughter who is too young to understand why her daddy doesn't come home anymore.
LAPD detective Matt Courtney is hoping that someone who knows something about Trevon Lark's murder will give him a call at (323) 786-5130.
