Kanye West's weekend pop-up store in LA draws long lines

- Kanye West is opening pop-up stores in 21 cities across the globe this weekend–including one at a recently unveiled location in Los Angeles.

The location for LA was unveiled at kanyewest.com overnight - and it will open Friday! We took a live picture from 346 North Fairfax - The site of the pop up store.

The rapper-turned-fashion mogul tweeted out a map Wednesday showing red dots over the cities that will host the stores, which will sell clothing inspired by his latest album, “The Life of Pablo.”

‘Life Of Pablo’ merchandise features  T-shirts, beach towels, stickers, and hats.

In addition to Los Angeles, the stores will open in 13 other U.S. cities including New York, Boston, and Miami, as well as international cities including London, Berlin, and Sydney.

West appears to be expanding the pop-up store concept following a successful run at a New York City location in March. According to Vogue, West sold a reported $1 million worth of merchandise at that pop-up.

Fans can expect long lines. The New York Daily News reported back in March that shoppers lined up for blocks to snatch the artist’s clothing–like a recycled Levis jacket customized by West that was on sale at the store for $400.

The store will stay open through the weekend.
