Christopher Hopes To Build Love For A Forever Family

In 1920, the term "robot" was coined to describe a machine that resembled a human. This week on Wednesday's Child, we meet Christopher (2002) who – on the surface – resembles a "typical teen". But knowing there is much more to Christopher – like the fact that he likes to build and put things together – we decided to accompany him to Rolling Robots in Glendale, California where Christopher could construct his own robot …and we could put more together about what makes Christopher's cogwheels turn.

Christopher can appear to be a little anxious or reserved when he is in a new setting with unfamiliar people, but once he adapts and is more at ease one can see he's a sociable youth who likes basketball, baseball and soccer as well as playing video games. Christopher also likes to draw pictures and collect Legos.

Christopher's favorite subjects in school are math and science and with supportive services he is doing well in school. Christopher hopes to serve his country as part of the armed forces someday. Christopher identifies with being Mexican-American but is open to having a cross-cultural forever family.

If you can see Christopher as part of your future family, we'd like to help set things in gear to making that a reality.
