Lisa Leslie was an All-Star basketball player, Olympic gold medalist and WNBA league MVP. In 2001, Lisa Leslie was the first WNBA player to win the regular season MVP, the All-Star Game MVP and the playoff MVP in the same season. In 2002, she was the WNBA all-time leading scorer and was named MVP of the WNBA Championship. Leslie was a member of the gold-winning U.S. Olympic teams in 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008. She retired from the WBNA in 2009. Since her retirement, Leslie has written a book, Don't Let the Lipstick Fool You, and worked as a sports commentator and analyst for such channels as ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox Sports among others. Leslie returned to her beloved Sparks team in 2011 as one of the team's owners, and has also decided to share her knowledge and skills with others through the Lisa Leslie Basketball & Leadership Academy.
