The digital dating business is on fire. Matchmaking mobile app Tinder just had the best January ever, with users up 60 percent from last year. Tinder's even found love abroad. Using geo-location technology, users set a specific radius, and then they have the option to match with anyone that's within that distance. Worldwide, the company says users find a match four million times a day. Of course, Tinder's also been called the shallowest dating app ever, choosing potential mates based only on what they look like.
Today on Studio 11 LA News, pop culture expert Tory Shulman joined us to talk about the Tinder phenomenon. Should you use Tinder to find a date for Valentine's Day? Tory, Bob DeCastro and Lauren Sivan talked about this subject, and you might be surprised at what they had to say. Check out the interview.
