Samira Wiley Details Her Character's Backstory on 'Orange Is The New Black'

Samira Wiley is best known for her breakout co-starring role as inmate 'Poussey Washington', a moral compass among the inmates on the Netflix original series 'Orange is the New Black'. The show just won The SAG award for best comedy series.

Wiley can most recently be seen playing Agent Annie Bell in 'Rob the Mob'. The film is an American crime drama directed by Raymond De Felitta. She was seen in the films 'Being Flynn' and 'The Sitter'. Her television appearances include 'Person of Interest' and a recurring role on 'Unforgettable.' Samira is also a graduate of The Julliard School.The cast of 'Orange is the New Black' is being honored by Essence Magazine here in LA on February 19th at the Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon, along with Regina King, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Oscar Nominated costume designer Ruth Carter.

The first two seasons of ‘Orange Is The New Black' are available on Netflix.
