Rick Dees & Joe Nipote Write Children's Book: 'Eggy Yolk And The Dirty Rotten Dozen'

Rick Dees is an icon in Southern California. Joe Nipote, one of the favorite comic actors who has starred in some of tv's biggest franchises. Together, they have to come up with the most creative children's book this year, 'Eggy Yolk and the Dirty Rotten Dozen'.

Rigdon Osmond "Rick" Dees III is an American radio personality, stand-up comedian, actor, and voice artist, best known for his internationally syndicated radio show The Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 Countdown and for the 1976 novelty song "Disco Duck."

Dees is a People's Choice Award recipient, a Grammy-nominated performing artist, and Broadcast Hall of Fame inductee. He wrote two songs that appear in the film Saturday Night Fever, plus performed the title song for the film Meatballs. Dees is also co-founder of the E. W. Scripps television network, Fine Living Network, and has been the host of the Rick Dees in the Morning show at Hot 92.3 in Los Angeles, California as well as his own syndicated daily radio show The Daily Dees.

Joe's first stop in LA was The Comedy Store. Working his way up from doorman to regular to HBO's "5th Young Comedian's Special," all within a year. Joe began to Headline comedy clubs all across the country and word of his likable, funny characters, and stand-up catapulted him.

Joe then began his transition in acting as he had always planning landing Guest-Starring roles on, "Happy Days", "The New WKRP," "The Jefferson's," "Normal Life," "Northern Exposure," "Murphy Brown," "Baby Talk," and more. In 1986 Detroit's Rock & Roll Radio station, WRIF, offered Joe the 6-10 a.m. slot where his funny characters & quick wit propelled the show to #1 for the time period.

In 1987 he returned to Los Angeles where he quickly landed multiple TV pilots; It's True, Sibs, & Unhappily Ever After. Co-Starring roles in the films came along with; The Last Tenor, Back by Midnight, Cloud Nine, & Soul's Midnight as well as Viper, and Casper.

In 2014 he voiced Jean Lafoote, the "crunch berry seeking pirate in the animated web-series, Cap'n Crunch. Most recently Joe Guest-Starred on Endemol's new MMA series, Kingdom.

Joe has released a Comedy Country Single called, Bowling Ball Blues on CDbaby.com & iTunes, and he has just had his first children's book published by Dees Entertainment called, "Eggy Yolk And The Dirty Rotten Dozen" available at EggyYolk.com.

He is also available to visit your school, library, or bookstore for a delightful storytelling and signing event.
