Break out the 'Brella, It's Raining!

Break out the 'brella!

Get out the galoshes!

And it's here!

A stranger to California lately, it arrived late Thursday in full force as an unseasonably cold spring storm moved in.

"Bring it on! I want more!", said Huntington Beach resident Alicia Catalan. "Forty days and forty nights of it, is what I would like."

But when it finally rains, it pours. Flooding streets and more.

Too much rain, too quickly proved too much for a supermarket roof in South Los Angeles. It came down suddenly and at least one woman was hurt.

While over at Dodger Stadium, the downpour forced a one-hour and 25-minute delay in play between the Dodgers and the Colorado Rockies.

Not good for the Dodgers, they lost but the rain good for almost everything else.

"It's great for the grass, the flowers", said Zachary Martinez who was out for a stroll near the beach this morning. "The more we can get, all the better."

While over in the San Fernando Valley, the skies lit up Thursday night as the storm rumbled and grumbled its way thru.

And lightning wasn't the only thing lighting up the sky. In North Hollywood, several palm trees caught on fire after being struck by lightning.

While over in Pacific Palisades it was all about hail. And there was plenty of it.

As fast as it arrived, this spring storm is set to move out just in time for your weekend.

Until then, stay safe, stay dry.

And enjoy it, while it lasts. :-)
