Teyonah Parris Deals With Family Struggles In New Season Of 'Survivor's Remorse'

Teyonah Parris from ‘Mad Men’ and ‘Dear White People’ fame is back for a second season of the Starz cable series ‘Survivor's Remorse’. She plays "Missy", one of the family of a rich, young basketball star.

Teyonah Parris is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Dawn Chambers in the AMC drama series, Mad Men. She played the first major African American character on Mad Men.

Parris was raised in South Carolina. She made her television debut in 2010, with guest starring role on The Good Wife. In 2014, she had her breakthrough role in the independent film Dear White People. Later in that year, Parris began starring in the Starz comedy series, Survivor's Remorse.

‘Survivor's Remorse’ returns a week from Saturday on August 22nd on Starz.
