Spencer created "Randi Rhodes, Ninja Detective" for a children's book series. She released "The Case of the Time-Capsule Bandit" in 2013, followed by the most recent "The Sweetest Heist in History" this year.
In the second installment of the series, ninja detective Randi Rhodes must solve a hard-to-prove art heist in New York City.
Spencer describes herself as a mystery fanatic and has been working on this series for more than a decade.
Fans can meet her during a book signer at 7 p.m. April 2 inside Barnes & Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles.
