Dana White Brings The Fights On With The UFC 189 World Tour

UFC president Dana White was here, and he's gearing up for UFC 189 World Tour. Undisputed UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and challenger Conor McGregor will embark on a world press tour spanning eight cities in five countries over the course of 12 days to promote their upcoming championship bout at UFC 189: Aldo vs. McGregor on Saturday, July 11 at MGM Grand Garden Arena. 

The co-main event featuring newly cemented welterweight champion Robbie Lawler and the division's No. 2 contender Rory MacDonald will also make appearances on the tour.

Dana Frederick White, Jr. is an American businessman, entrepreneur, actor and the President of the mixed martial arts organization Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

While working as a manager for Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell, White learned that Semaphore Entertainment Group, the parent company of the UFC, was looking for a buyer for the UFC. White contacted childhood friend Lorenzo Fertitta, an executive at Station Casinos and a former commissioner of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Within a month, Lorenzo and his older brother Frank bought the UFC with White installed as its president. White owns 9% of Zuffa, LLC, the entity the Fertitta brothers created to own and manage the UFC.

Tickets for UFC 189 Aldo vs. McGregor go on sale Friday morning, March 27th at 10:00am.

The big fight takes place July 11th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
