Man, Dog Attacked By Swarming Bees In San Bernardino County

LOMA LINDA, Calif. (AP/FOX 11) - Authorities say a man and his dog are recovering after being stung multiple times during a bee attack in San Bernardino County.

The bees swarmed Sunday as the 43-year-old man was bathing his Golden Retriever in his driveway in Loma Linda.

Capt. Tom DeBellis of the East Valley Fire Department says the 12-year-old dog, Daisy, was stung more than 100 times. Her owner and responding firefighters were also stung multiple times.

The man was hosed down with foam by firefighters and taken to a hospital for treatment.

Daisy was also sprayed with foam and given oxygen and Benadryl. She was taken to an animal hospital.
