Lauren Sivan is an anchor for the FOX 11 5 O'Clock News. Previously she reported for Good Day LA and FOX 11 News.
A native New Yorker, Lauren was happy to leave the cold weather for sunny California, joining the FOX 11 team in September 2011.
Lauren began her on-air career in 2003 as morning anchor and reporter for WETM-18 News in Elmira, NY. Two years later she was hired in her hometown as evening anchor for News 12 Long Island. In addition to anchoring three newscasts a night, Lauren reported from Jerusalem on the 2006 Israel/Lebanon conflict.
She also covered the immigration issue from Mexico, earning Emmy nominations for both.
In 2008 she was hired as the overnight, breaking-news anchor for the Fox News Channel in New York City. She also reported for FNC shows including The Fox Report with Shepard Smith, On The Record with Greta Van Susteren and hosted The Strategy Room on Foxnews.com. She's also a regular panelist on Fox's late night show Red Eye.
In addition, Lauren has covered entertainment news for Extra and TV Guide Network. She also had a brief stint as a sideline reporter for ESPN during the 2004 season of Major League Lacrosse.
Prior to her on-air career Lauren spent six years as a producer with FNC, working on shows including Fox News Sunday and Fox & Friends.
Lauren is a graduate of the George Washington University with degrees in Journalism and Political Science. She also earned an advanced certificate in Homeland Security from Long Island University.
