Sandra Endo is a general assignment reporter covering breaking news and feature reports for FOX 11 News. Prior to joining KTTV, she spent five years working for CNN/CNN Newsource based in Washington DC. Her stories have appeared on prime time shows such as AC360 with Anderson Cooper and the Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer. Endo covered a range of topics from natural disasters like Hurricane Sandy to Washington politics. She also reported on the devastating tsunami and earthquake that struck Japan in 2011, as well as the international conflicts in Egypt and the U.S involvement in Libya. In 2010, Endo extensively covered the BP Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion in the Gulf Coast, the controversial immigration law in Arizona, as well as homeland security issues like the terror bomb plot in Times Square.
Prior to joining CNN, Endo was a political reporter, host and anchor for NY1, covering a wide array of campaigns, the transit strike of 2005 and reporting around the clock after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Before moving back to Los Angeles, Endo worked at NBC 5 News in Chicago.
Endo is a second-generation Japanese American and is an active member of the Asian American Journalists Association. She is a Los Angeles native and a graduate of Van Nuys Math Science Magnet. She graduated magna cum laude from New York University, where she double majored in politics and journalism. She was also a Loyola Law School Journalist Fellow. She's happy to be back in her hometown.
