Marla Tellez began at FOX 11 in January 2014. She anchors FOX 11 News at 4:30am, 5:00am and 6:00am and is part of the Good Day LA team. She also anchors the Fox 11 News at 10am.

She comes to us from KNTV, in the San Francisco Bay Area where she anchored NBC Bay Area News at 11am and reported for the morning news program, "Today in the Bay".

Tellez began her broadcast career as a producer in the Bay Area, where she was raised. She landed her first reporting job at KION in Salinas. She's worked at CBS in San Francisco as both a producer/correspondent for "Evening Magazine" and "Eye on the Bay" and reporter for Eyewitness News.  She's interviewed numerous high-ranking politicians, celebrities and covered the highly publicized Scott Peterson Trial.  

In 2008, Tellez left California to anchor the morning and midday news at KOB in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  That's where she got the opportunity to appear in the hit AMC show, "Breaking Bad."  You can see her in the Season 3 premiere titled "No Mas."  

Tellez is a two-time Emmy Award winner with a degree in political science from Sonoma State University, where she graduated magna cum laude.

She's an avid runner and self-proclaimed foodie, but when she's not dining out she loves to cook.
